Stalk

The largest of the American cats, the mountain lion, puma or cougar is more closely related to our domestic cat than a lion.  Blending, melting, embracing their environment they are masters of the stalk.  Moving on soft pads, crouching and stealthily tracking their prey, they often watch and wait from on high.  Superb parents the mountain lion is a solitary animal until the time to mate. Bringing on small spotted babies, they will stay with their mother for the first two years of their lives before finding their own territory.  The cougar can jump up to 45’ (12m) appearing as if from nowhere, with incredible finesse and grace.
