Tendresse

Sandi describes her work as allegorical representationalism, "Where the subjects are representationally painted (I am not a realist), and capture the essence of the subject that has an allegorical meaning to me, but also provides that others can ascribe their own meaning - and by merely be suggestive, they are free and invited to do so.

Lessons in life from the wild in life.

A mother's tenderness is a wondrous thing, seeking a safe place to care for her young, she is forever on guard, ready to defend her family with her life.  She grieves at their loss, she challenges and pushes them in their lessons....and then she lets them go their own way in the world.

With grateful thanks to the marvellous wildlife photographer Marc Latremouille for the reference.
