What kind of enhancements do you do on the limited edition giclees? The enhancements usually consist of hand-painted highlights using oil or acrylic paint to increase brightness and intensify colour. Once dry, a coat is applied to the print with an acrylic gel to create texture and brush marks. The effect of this is to reflect light off the print, give it the appearance and performance of an actual painting. Texture on the surface of water, for instance, will make the water appear to sparkle and create a sense of movement.
